Expression of interest for NEW parent portal for SAM Learning.
SAM Learning’s new parent portal is designed to provide access to see the work teachers have set to their child, how well their child has done, their work history and progress so far across all their subjects. We need a small number of schools that are interested to be the first to pilot the new portal. “I am an English teacher and I like setting SAM Learning for homework, particularly for KS3.
The best tasks I have found are the SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) tasks as they’re quick, simple and students can flick through each page/task. I also think the score out of % is useful for students at the end to see how well they did – this definitely helps from a teacher marking point of view too. It self-marks and is useful to quickly check when you’ve set homework and need to see an overall picture of completion/scores.”
