There are four possible reasons that a pupil may not be able to log in. The error message they receive on trying to log in will indicate where the problem is likely to be, the possible error messages are as follows;
‘Sorry – the password you have entered is incorrect.’
This is the most frequently received error message and is most likely caused by a pupil having changed their password and forgetting that they have done so. If a pupil receives this error the first thing to do is Click Here to Reset Their Password.
‘Sorry, invalid School ID’
Quite simply the pupil has not entered the correct centre ID. Often they have entered the school’s name, the school postcode or have entered a number in place of a letter (e.g. they have entered “5A3LN” instead of “SA3LN”). Double-check that they are entering the correct Centre ID for your school.
‘User ID not recognized’
There are two possible reasons for this error, either they are entering their User ID incorrectly or an account has not been set up for the pupil. You can see a list of registered pupils and their User IDs through the
Manage Learner Records
link in the administration page. If the pupil does not have an account set up details of how to add them can be found Here.
