SAM Learning Progress Update
on Fulfilling GDPR for our Schools
We have been hard at work here at SAM Learning to ensure we can confidently assure you that your contract and all data handling will 100% comply with GDPR legislation well before the deadline. In April, you will receive our updated documentation demonstrating compliance with all items in paragraph 3 of article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation*, as outlined below.
All suppliers that use information about your school and/or your learners, as of May 25th 2018, have a legal duty to tell you how, what, where, and why any data of yours is kept, used, or changed. The other part of this new legal duty is to tell you how you can access your data and make changes yourself, request it be made, or have data deleted.
In our certification document, which you will receive in April, each item or area will be explained and evidenced in appropriate detail so you can be assured that we are fully GDPR compliant well before the May 25th deadline. For your convenience, we have made a clear and easy-to-understand table of the areas that will be covered in our certification document.
