Oasis Academy, Brislington (April, 2020)
SAM Learning is an effective learning tool. We’ve increased usage from 2021 hours in 2014-15 to 13,558 hours in 2018-19 – our progress score has increased from -0.54 to -0.05 at the same time.
We used SAM Learning to track students at different assessment points and identify those under performing. The students are then placed into an intervention group and extra tasks are set for them. Every 6 weeks we then host pizza parties to celebrate the completion of the interventions.
The support service team is responsive to emails and if you need support there is always somebody who you can call / email. I would recommend SAM Learning, as it is an effective online package. For the cost associated it is a great tool which can reduce teacher workload.

We have used SAM Learning in a range of ways at Eden Park High School. We have an extended day where students complete independent learning on site. SAM Learning is often used in these sessions as many tasks self-mark so students get immediate feedback and direction. More recently, we have used SAM Learning in our Literacy Intervention classes, where we teach in small groups exclusively using SAM Learning.
This provision is excellent, the resources and reporting features are superb and the customer service and support from the team is exceptional.
