Use this page to list, inspect and edit homework tasks that you have set for your students. You can also use this page to generate reports for homework tasks (Note: these reports can also be automatically emailed to you when a task reaches its due date). Finally the Progress, Usage and APP buttons on this page will take you to the “Reports” area.
Listing homework tasks
The main section of this page, by default, lists all of the homework tasks that you have set this academic year in a table. The final two columns of this table contain buttons allowing you to edit, view or generate a report for each of these homework tasks.
If you wish to refine the table of tasks shown you can use the controls on the left hand side of the page to filter the date range or teacher that will be listed. Click ‘Apply’ once you have made your selection to see this refined list.
Viewing a task
Click the magnifying glass icon in the ‘Action’ column of the table to view summary information regarding a listed task.
Editing or deleting a task
Click the pencil icon in the ‘Action’ column of the table. This will open a wizard that allows you to delete or edit a task. To avoid confusing students you will be warned if you have selected a task to edit or delete that is already visible to them. To edit or delete the task simply follow the instructions in the wizard.
Generating a homework task report
Click the arrow button in the ‘Reports’ column of the table to generate a report for that homework task. Note that having done so you can see different views of the same report by selecting “By student”, “By exercise” or “Grade book” buttons from the left hand side of the report page.
Setting a new homework task
The easiest way to set a task is to browse the folders on the ‘Activities’ page to find activities that you want to set, check the boxes to the left of the activity name, click the “Set Task” button at the top of the activity list and follow the instructions in the wizard. You can also use the search box to find activities that you wish to set as homework tasks.
