What is a Teacher Activity?
These are activities that a teacher at your school has created. These can be free-text questions, multiple choice, check boxes, drag and drop or a mixture.
How do I answer the questions?
There are multiple different interaction types in a typical Teacher Activity:
Free-text entry – Entering your own text for the answer.
Radio buttons – Choose the correct answer from a list.
Check boxes – Choose the correct answers from a list.
Drag and drop – Drag the correct answers into the ‘drop zones’.
Press the ‘Next’ button when you’re ready to go to the next question.
How is my work marked?
Multiple choice, check box and drag and drop questions are marked automatically. For activities containing only these question types, simply click ‘Finish’ at the end of the activity and your score will be calculated.
Activities containing Free-text entry questions are marked using the following steps:
Once you have completed all the questions, click the ‘Marking’ button at the end of the activity.
This will take you back to the first Free-text entry question and reveal the mark scheme for you to begin marking (you may need to scroll down the screen as the mark scheme will appear underneath the question).
Read the mark scheme and compare it with your answer. Award yourself the appropriate number for marks. Tick the boxes next to the correct answer based on how many marks you have earned. For example, if there are three marks available, and you correctly satisfied two of the three criteria, you would tick two of the check boxes to award yourself two marks.
Click ‘Next’ and continue marking until you reach the end, then click ‘Finish’ to see the grade that corresponds to your score.
You can also choose to review your answers to see where you need to improve.
Note: When Teacher Activities are set as homework, teachers are able to view your answers.
