APP activities are designed to assess your progress against the National Curriculum objectives. The activities provide a fun way of demonstrating your progress through interesting graphics and lots of different ways of interacting with the software. As you complete the activity SAM Learning Go! collects evidence of the National Curriculum targets that you are able to meet without requiring help.
How long should it take to complete an APP activity?
A typical activity should take you no more than 15 minutes.
How do I answer the questions?
There are a many different interaction types in a typical APP, including but not limited to
– Dropdown menus:
Selecting from a choice of 3 answers
– Free text entry:
Entering your own text for the answer
– Linking related statements:
Clicking on a statement and clicking on the connecting header
– Multiple choice:
Choosing from 2 or more answers
– Drag and drop:
Clicking and dragging an answer to the correct space
– Dragable sliders:
Moving a slide bar to the correct position
However, in all cases, once you have selected your answer or answers you need to click the submit button for your answers to be checked. If you are correct, the ‘Next’ button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen will become active and you can progress to the next screen. If your choice was not correct you will be given hints and need to re-submit different answers until you have answered correctly.
Why is there a green push pin on the screen sometimes?
The push pin or thumb tack is there to draw your attention to an important point or areas of the screen.
